Neil Hodgson spots ‘weird’ Marc Marquez action he’s ‘never seen before’
Shortly after the session ended, Marquez lined up to do a practice start and was seen sticking his legs out in a balancing motion before launching away on his Ducati.
He first had both feet touching the ground before moving his left leg up and then his right. He repeated the action twice before putting his feet back on the ground.
Reacting to Marquez’s action, Hodgson labelled it as ‘weird’ and stated that he had never seen it before.
Hodgson said on TNT Sports: “What’s this thing? He did this yesterday; he does a weird balancing thing with his feet.
“Never seen it before; did it yesterday; we’ve questioned what it was all about. But he just did it again then.”

Marc Marquez admits he made a ‘rookie mistake’ during qualifying
Before storming to a stunning pole, Marquez came off his bike at Turn 1 during the session.
Reacting after qualifying, Marquez admitted that he was pushing too hard, something the seven-time world champion called a ‘rookie mistake’.
Marquez said: “I was pushing too hard on that first lap, a rookie mistake because I crashed.
“But then, I just tried to survive on the first tyre, and then I gave everything on the second one. I felt better and better.
“I take reference from the brake points because from a new tyre to a used tyre, it changes quite a lot. But, yeah, happy for the pole position. Happy with the way I feel.
“So, let’s see in the Sprint race if we can survive in a good way. I’m not ready to fight with Pedro (Acosta) at the moment.
“At Mugello it was okay because my engine was strong on the straights and that was a big advantage. But here, the engine is not super important, and he is riding super good.”
