Fabio Quartararo appears to have checked out of Yamaha after comments made following the Italian Grand Prix Sprint.
Quartararo, 27, has been riding for Yamaha since making his MotoGP debut back in 2019.
In 2021, Quartararo won his maiden MotoGP world championship title, beating Francesco Bagnaia and Joan Mir.
However, in recent years, Quartararo has failed to reach the same heights as Yamaha have struggled to produce a competitive bike.
Looking ahead, Quartararo is set to leave Yamaha and join Honda for 2027 and 2028.

On Saturday, the Frenchman finished in 14th place in the Italian Grand Prix Sprint, more than 20 seconds behind winner, Raul Fernandez.
Speaking after the session, it can be said that Quartararo has already checked out of Yamaha.
The 27-year-old claimed that Yamaha are ‘completely lost’ and there is ‘nothing to hope for’.
In addition, Quartararo hinted that he wants to ‘avoid injury’ in order to stay fit for his ‘future’
As reported by Motorsport Italia, Quartararo said: “There are no opportunities. First of all, we’re completely lost. And secondly, the feeling I had from the Jerez tests until the last race was much better.
“Here, we’ve completely lost that feeling. So there’s really nothing to hope for. The main thing is to avoid injury. For my future, I want to at least stay fit. We’ll get through this race somehow. In any case, even scoring points will be difficult.
“Nothing is improving. But in general, it’s not even a question of set-up anymore; it’s a question of bringing new parts.”

He continued: “We’ve been essentially racing with the same bike for months now, and there’s been no improvement. So that’s the situation.
“My job is to give it my all. As riders, I think we’re putting in a huge amount of effort and intensity. Now it’s no longer up to me to do the work to improve the bike.”
Just seven races into the MotoGP season, Quartararo is already looking towards his future, which could be another clear statement that his head is no longer with Yamaha.
Instead, the 27-year-old could already be looking forward to his move to Honda, where he is set to ride alongside David Alonso.
