Jack Miller earned huge praise from MotoGP fans on social media as he was seen helping Pedro Acosta return to the pits after his horror crash with Alex Marquez at the Catalan Grand Prix.
The KTM rider secured pole position in Barcelona, but he could not convert it to victory on Saturday, losing to Marquez in the Sprint. On Sunday, he enjoyed a strong battle with the Gresini rider and Raul Fernandez, until disaster struck on lap 12.
Acosta’s engine cut out down the back straight, and Marquez collided with him at high speed. He was sent slamming into the wall, which immediately brought out the red flag.
Are MotoGP riders the bravest athletes on the planet?
The race was restarted after a lengthy delay, only to be stopped again after Johann Zarco suffered a horror crash with Francesco Bagnaia and Luca Marini. Acosta got a third restart from pole soon after, but it was Fabio Di Giannantonio who claimed the win, with the KTM star crashing out on the final lap.
The Shark was lucky to restart the race at all after his crash with Marquez, and Acosta later said the race should not have restarted a third time after Zarco’s accident. But fortunately for him, he was given a helping hand from Miller and his Pramac teammate.

MotoGP fans salute Jack Miller and Toprak Razgatlioglu for helping Pedro Acosta at Catalan Grand Prix
Acosta frantically tried to warn riders of his engine issue, but Marquez could not react in time to get out of the way. The KTM rider was left with a rear-tyre puncture and looked almost certain to retire on the spot.
However, some of his colleagues were on hand to help out. Acosta initially received a push from Maverick Vinales, until Pramac duo Miller and Toprak Razgatlioglu took over and pushed him back into the pit lane.
Fans were full of praise for the Pramac teammates on X (formerly Twitter) as they showed great sportsmanship to help Acosta.
