Maverick Vinales may struggle to find a new seat next year after his absences have not gone down well within KTM.

Many felt Vinales would replace Brad Binder, given how highly KTM boss Pit Beirer sees him. However, a lot has changed in the last few days.

Vinales began testing Beirer’s patience with his injury issues, as the rider began turning up hurt and unavailable more frequently.

It appears Vinales leaving KTM in the dust for the Spanish Grand Prix may have been the last straw for Beirer, as he doesn’t appear to be in the team’s plans for 2027.

And it appears Maverick Vinales may struggle to find a seat for 2027 altogether, as other teams have taken a similar stance to the rider.

Ricard Jove claims Maverick Vinales  is on the ‘unofficial blacklist’ as KTM future looks bleak

Ricard Jove spoke on Duralavita recently, discussing the future of several MotoGP riders heading into the 2027 season.

When asked about Maverick Vinales, Jove noted that Beirer’s statements from this weekend suggest he is going to be out of a KTM seat, and on the unofficial blacklist for riders with uncertain futures.

“Maverick, unfortunately, because of the specific statements we have seen coming out this weekend from Pit Beirer, one of the top heads of KTM, openly lamented Maverick’s injuries and other issues.

“I think he is now one of those names on the unofficial blacklist of those riders whose future is currently in doubt.”

Unless Vinales can put together some incredible performances this season, he is unlikely to be on track for any team come 2027.

Maverick Vinales failing to deliver the way KTM needed

KTM seemingly had high hopes for Maverick Vinales, even prioritising him more than Brad Binder, despite the latter riding for the factory team.

But his injury struggles, coupled with his poor performances this year, have seemingly rattled their trust in the Spanish rider.

Of course, it is still early in the season, and KTM haven’t made a final decision yet. So realistically, he does have the time to turn things around.

But it’s hard to see Vinales overcoming his injury struggles and performance issues in time to regain the trust of KTM officials and earn a seat for next season.
