Ducati’s World Superbikes star Nicolo Bulega is adamant that his future lies in MotoGP, and has recently revealed that he has several options available to him for the 2027 premier class campaign.
Since replacing the injury-stricken Marc Marquez in the final two rounds of the 2025 MotoGP season, Nicolo Bulega has ramped up efforts to make a switch from Ducati’s World Superbikes team to Grand Prix racing.

An initial ride at one of Borgo Panigale’s satellite teams seems to be the most natural destination for Bulega if he is successful in making the move over to MotoGP, but Gresini have already made it clear that they aren’t interested in taking on a rookie next season.
Thus, Bulega’s agent has confirmed that an exit from the Ducati stable is ‘not impossible’, a statement that has been reflected by the Italian rider in his most recent comments about a potential move.
Nicolo Bulega reveals ‘several’ MotoGP options for 2027
During his media duties at the Dutch round of the World Superbikes championship, Bulega opened up on his future aspirations to join the premier class of Grand Prix motorcycle racing.
The Italian told journalists, via Motorsport Italia, “Right now, on the MotoGP front, we have to wait for the bigger names to settle in, because everything depends on them. The dream of MotoGP has been with me since I was little, and we’re working hard to make it happen.

“I’m certainly happy to be here in Superbike, but dreams are dreams.”Together with Alberto Martinelli, we’re working hard to try to make it to MotoGP. It’s not easy, because a couple of things have to fall into place.
“Right now, however, the doors aren’t closed, and I have options on several fronts. So we’ll see which one comes first.
“I experience stress when I don’t have options. In this case, if things go badly for me, I would stay in Superbike as a top rider, knowing that there are many factory teams. Therefore, I believe I will find a place.”
Trackhouse have emerged as a potential destination for Nicolo Bulega
One of the options that Bulega alluded to in his comments to the press in the Netherlands may be the Aprilia satellite team, Trackhouse.
MotoGP journalist Giovanni Zamagni identified Trackhouse as an alternative to one of the Ducati-backed outfits for Bulega in a recent livestream, noting that team boss Davide Brivio is a big fan of the Italian’s talents.
Aprilia technical director Fabiano Sterlacchini is also ‘ready to welcome’ Bulega into the fold, further indicating that a ride at Noale’s sole satellite team could be on the cards for him next year.
Marco Bezzecchi and Francesco Bagnaia are expected to lead the Italian constructor’s charge next year, meaning that Bulega may have to wait a couple of terms before being rewarded with a full-fledged factory ride with Aprilia, if the move comes to fruition.
