Pol Espargaro is now the manager for Dani Holgado, who is currently making strides in Moto2, and is expecting a move to MotoGP next year.
Holgado has been rising among the ranks in motorcycle racing for the last few years. After four successful seasons in Moto3, where he almost won a championship, he made the jump to Moto2.
In his two seasons in Moto2 with Kalex, he has done well and currently sits third in the championship standings.

In the last few years, Holgado has attracted the attention of several MotoGP teams. And with the 2027 season set to introduce the 850cc era, there is an expectation that there will be an influx of new talent.
Pol Espargaro, the former MotoGP rider, has taken his prodigious countryman under his wing, representing him as he hopes to make the jump to MotoGP.

Pol Espargaro gives ‘quite promising’ verdict on Dani Holgado’s 2027 MotoGP prospects
Speaking in an interview with Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, former MotoGP rider Pol Espargaro, now Dani Holgado’s agent, spoke about his prospects in MotoGP.
He admitted that MotoGP is the goal for Holgado, and they are working hard to try and make that happen. In fact, he has even had some talks with MotoGP teams about a seat in 2027.
“Looking ahead, we’ve had to start working quite hard now to get him into MotoGP, which we hope will happen next year. I won’t lie to you, there are talks with some MotoGP teams. Dani is one of those riders with a lot of potential for next year.
“He’s one of the only young riders, along with David Alonso, who, at just 20 years old, has a very clear path forward and has performed very well since his first year in Moto2. It’s clear that Dani’s potential for next year in MotoGP is quite promising.”
For a young rider like Holgado, the prospect of entering MotoGP at just 21 years of age will be an opportunity, but also put a lot of pressure on him.

Pol Espargaro praises Dani Holgado’s maturity in MotoGP dream pursuit
Speaking further in the interview, Espargaro applauded Holgado for the way he has managed the pressure and speculation surrounding his MotoGP future with great maturity.
“It’s very complicated to manage these situations when you’re such a young rider, even though Dani is very mature for his age, much more mature than I was at his age.
“He’s able to handle these situations with great maturity, and the environment he has, which I mentioned earlier, helps him a lot to negotiate these situations emotionally in a good way.
“It’s not just the pressure of the races and the weight of being one of the title contenders, which is very significant.
“But also the rumours circulating on social media and in the press, saying things like, ‘If they put you here, they put you there,’ and that’s really difficult to manage. So, the environment is very important, and I’m very reassured because Dani has it.”
As things stand, there is no word on which team, if any, Holgado has spoken to and is likely to join to start his MotoGP career.
With some veteran riders looking unlikely to retain their current seats, Holgado will have a strong chance at earning a spot on the track next season.
