Marco Bezzecchi continues his dominance in MotoGP as he led every lap to secure his fifth premier class win in a row at the United States Grand Prix, and with it, the lead of the championship.
The Aprilia rider, who now holds the record for the most consecutive laps led in the modern era, has won every Grand Prix in 2026. Teammate Jorge Martin closed the gap towards the end of the race, but could not get past as he secured back-to-back 1-2 finishes for the Noale outfit.
Marco Bezzecchi makes it FIVE in a row!
Redemption for his Sprint crash!
Bezzecchi set the pace in Sunday’s warm-up, narrowly beating Marc Marquez by just 89 hundredths of a second. It set up an entertaining race at COTA, especially after the chaos of the Sprint race on Saturday.
Polesitter Fabio Di Giannantonio was wiped out by Marc Marquez on the opening lap, allowing Francesco Bagnaia to command the field for most of the race. Marquez was penalised with a long lap penalty, hampering his chances of victory.
Bezzecchi crashed out while challenging Francesco Bagnaia for the win, but it was his Aprilia teammate Jorge Martin who got the job done with a late lunge on the final lap. The No.72 rider was keen to bounce back in the Grand Prix, and he did exactly that in brilliant fashion.

Pedro Acosta and Bezzecchi got the best start off the line, jumping Di Giannantonio into the first corner. The VR46 rider dropped down to fifth as Acosta led towards the back straight, but the KTM star ran wide and collided with Bezzecchi, almost coming off the bike.
Nothing came of the incident as Bezzecchi, Acosta and Martin battled closely at the front. But on lap seven, the Martinator made a mistake at turn one, managing to keep himself on the RS-GP, but lost time to the front two.

Acosta tried to follow the Aprilia closely, but the KTM’s lack of straight-line speed ultimately allowed Bezzecchi to pull a comfortable gap. On lap 14, the Shark made a mistake himself at turn one, giving Martin P2 and an Aprilia 1-2.
A late charge from Ai Ogura looked like Aprilia would lock out the podium as he made his way to fourth. But an electrical fault cut short his heroic efforts, with the factory outfit grabbing their second 1-2 finish in a row.
Acosta secured P3 for KTM, with Di Giannantonio again finishing as the top Ducati in fourth. Marquez salvaged P5 after serving his long lap penalty and battling with teammate Bagnaia and Enea Bastianini.
