With the futures of the MotoGP satellite teams up in the air, there is a chance that the teams could end up with different manufacturers than they are currently with.
There have been suggestions that different teams could end up with new manufacturers, with the likes of VR46 heading to Aprilia in 2027.
In the past, there had been connections between KTM and the Honda satellite team LCR. However, there are now connections between KTM’s satellite team Tech3 and Ducati.

There have been suggestions in the past that Tech3 would move to Honda, but now there have been reports that they could end up as a Ducati satellite team in the future.
MOWMAG report that Tech3 are destined to become a Ducati satellite team in the future, “A further future will depend solely and exclusively on the results of the RC16 and on whether KTM engineers are able to put a truly competitive bike on the track.

VR46 to become an Aprilia satellite team?
There had been suggestions that Valentino Rossi’s MotoGP team could leave Ducati at the end of the 2026 season, after spending their entire time in MotoGP with the Italian manufacturer.
Team director Uccio Salucci confirmed that discussions between the VR46 Racing Team and Aprilia have taken place in the past.
However, Salucci has now revealed that VR46 are ‘very close to signing’ a deal with Ducati that would see them remain with the Italian manufacturer for the near future in MotoGP.
