The 2025 MotoGP season has come to an end, and now the focus turns to 2026 and the final year before significant rule changes the following year.
Marc Marquez was crowned the 2025 riders’ champion in Japan after dominating the season. The Spaniard took 11 victories and a further four podiums before a crash in Indonesia saw him out for the final races of the year.
Alongside Marquez’s riders’ title, Ducati also secured both the constructors’ and teams’ victories, which saw them make history.
The constructors’ championship win saw Ducati become the first MotoGP team to take six consecutive title victories, a record that was broken and extended past Honda, who had four wins between 2016 and 2019.
MotoGP fans have just over 10 weeks to wait until the bikes return to the track for the start of the 2026 season.
What is the 2026 MotoGP rider line-up?
All 22 seats for the 2026 MotoGP season have been confirmed after an unpredictable few months as teams looked to lock down their riders.
