Toprak Razgatlioglu has grabbed his third World Superbike championship in 2025 ahead of his move to MotoGP next season.
The Turkish rider secured his second WSBK title with BMW and third overall in 2025, beating Nicolo Bulega to the crown at the final round of the season at Jerez.
Razgatlioglu was the dominant force this season, winning 21 out of 36 races, including 13 in a row, and finishing in the top two in all but six races. Title rival Bulega was just as consistent, finishing in the top two in all but four races in 2025.
The Ducati rider took Razgatlioglu to the final round of the WSBK at Jerez and won all three races. However, despite crashing out of the second race after contact with Bulega, the BMW star finished second in the first race and third in the third to seal the title by 13 points.

With three WSBK titles to his name, Razgatlioglu can now focus his attention on his exciting move to MotoGP. He will join the Yamaha family with satellite team Pramac in 2026, partnering with Jack Miller.
While his talent is unquestionable, the 29-year-old may be in for a difficult rookie season. He will have to get accustomed to the Michelin tyres, as well as a new bike, which is especially the case at Yamaha as they roll out the V4 project in 2026.
Razgatlioglu will test the V4 privately so he can get used to the machine and ensure that he is well prepared for his first assault at MotoGP. His arrival has been met with excitement and high expectations.
Many riders believe Razgatlioglu can win in his debut season, and he will be looking to compete with the likes of Marc Marquez from the off. The Spaniard, who clinched his seventh premier class title in 2025, messaged the Turkish rider after claiming his third WSBK crown.
Writing on Instagram, Marquez had just two words for Razgatlioglu after his championship win as he said: “Congrats mate.”

With Ducati and Marquez being the dominant force in MotoGP, Razgatlioglu may find it tough to compete with them at Pramac, as Yamaha’s project is far behind. The Iwata outfit know that too, with Paolo Pavesio targeting consistent fifth to 10th place finishes for Razgatlioglu.
But the WSBK star is keen to battle with the frontrunners. Razgatlioglu is looking forward to racing with Marquez, having had private phone calls with the Ant of Cervera.
If the V4 bike turns out to be competitive, Razgatlioglu will pose a threat to his rivals in MotoGP next season. Race wins and fighting for the title might be a step too far at this point, but the Turkish rider will certainly give others something to worry about.
Miller has warned Razgatlioglu that he could ‘destroy’ his self-confidence by stepping up to MotoGP straight away and ignoring the lower categories. He has a lot of work to do to adapt to the championship.
