Diogo Moreira made his mark in Moto2 last season, and the Brazilian rider has been rewarded with a seat for LCR Honda in MotoGP this year.
Moreira moved to MotoGP in 2025, after it was announced that he will replace Somkiat Chantra at LCR Honda next year. It was the only remaining seat available in 2026, with the rest of the teams quick to confirm their rider line-ups.
Moreira previously raced for Italtrans Racing Team in Moto2, and impressed during his second Moto2 season with four wins and five further podium finishes on his way to the intermediate class world title.
