MotoGP is headed to the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya for the 2025 Catalan Grand Prix with Marc Marquez hoping to continue his dominating streak in front of home crowds.
Marquez has won the last seven races, with a further three victories giving him a 175-point lead over his brother Alex Marquez in second place.
With just nine races left of the season, Marc could win the championship as early as San Marino next weekend if he scores at least 47 points over the coming two races.
The championship leader finished the 2024 Catalan Grand Prix in third place after starting the race from P14. Jorge Martin started the race in seventh but took the lead on lap 4 after overtaking Pedro Acosta in second and race leader Francesco Bagnaia.
Bagnaia was able to catch Martin towards the end of the race, overtaking the Italian with five laps remaining. The Ducati rider was able to retain the position and take his third of eleven victories last year.

Ai Ogura displayed a brilliant performance during the 2024 Moto2 Catalan Grand Prix, making his way from 10th on the grid to bring home the win for Boscoscuro. A final move on his teammate Sergio Garcia saw the Japanese rider take his first of three wins last season.
Garcia had started from pole position but conceded the lead to Fermin Aldeguer on the second lap. The pair fought furiously, both being handed track limit warnings, before Aldeguer was handed a penalty.
