Marco Bezzecchi has been in terrific MotoGP form recently, finishing five of his last six races in the top eight for Aprilia.
The Noale-based manufacturer has turned things around a bit, developing their bike well enough to be on the tail of Ducati at the last three events, including during a return to the Czech Grand Prix after five years.
It’s welcome news for their riders, particularly Bezzecchi, who has led the team on his own for much of the season and put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes.
With Jorge Martin’s successful return, Aprilia now have a genuine chance to apply some pressure on Marc Marquez at the front of the pack and compete for victories. Especially since their bike now appears to be up to the task.
Valentino Rossi ‘supported’ Bezzecchi’s exit from VR46, and despite a bit of a rocky start, moving to a manufacturer has been a terrific decision for him.
Even ex-MotoGP agent Carlo Pernat thinks Bezzecchi can cause Marquez problems and has backed him for success in the second half of the 2025 season.

Bezzecchi added pressure to Martin’s MotoGP return by mentioning that their bike is now strong, not long after crashing out of the German Grand Prix.
After failing to finish higher than sixth in the first six races, he has managed to win and secure two second places since. He could have had another without a fall at the Sachsenring.
While it’s way too late to challenge for the riders’ championship, there’s definitely some momentum to be built ahead of 2026.
Speaking to SPEEDWEEK, Bezzecchi revealed that Rossi has been around to give him some advice even after leaving his team last year.
“Vale has a lot of experience, he has always been a top driver in every category in his career. He still gives us a lot of advice.
“He has always been a fantastic inspiration, at the same time, it is impossible to be like him. But it helps us learn from him, his methods and his approach to racing.”

What can Marco Bezzecchi hope to achieve in the second half of the 2025 MotoGP season?
By the time MotoGP returns in August, there will be just over a month before the flyaway races return, with trips to Japan, Australia, Malaysia and other venues before a return to Europe.
The season will end in Valencia, as it was unable to last year due to disastrous floods in the region. It’s not expected that there will be much of a title fight by then.
However, if Bezzecchi can continue his hot streak of form, there’s a chance that he will be fighting for something more than seventh place in the standings.
Alex Marquez has shown how having a little confidence and pace can produce really good results, and now his Italian rival is in a similar position.
Aprilia must continue their development, but, promisingly, they could be in a really good position heading into 2026 at this rate.
