Marco Bezzecchi now shares his stance on Jorge Martin’s Aprilia MotoGP contract feud

Marco Bezzecchi has been Aprilia’s leader throughout what has been a very difficult year for the team, and he was never expected to play that role.

However, ever since Jorge Martin got injured in pre-season, he has been tasked with leading their development and scoring the big results for the Italian manufacturer.

After a shaky start to the campaign without many results of note, Aprilia have started to find their groove and are picking up some meaningful results.

Bezzecchi won in Silverstone and then returned to the podium at Assen during the sprint after another solid performance. There’s pace in the bike.

After months of speculation, Aprilia have changed their tune on Martin’s contract, and his situation has been the main subject for the team in 2025. It hasn’t been overly fair on Bezzecchi.

Aprilia are ‘sure’ about what a judge would say about Martin and believe that his clause would be worthless in front of a judge. A clause which he claims allows him to exit the team early, even though he hasn’t had much of a chance to test their bike.

Marco Bezzecchi admits he doesn’t ‘care’ about Jorge Martin’s Aprilia contract feud

Sitting sixth in the standings, Bezzecchi’s performance has quietly gone under the radar in 2025. His last four events have been very impressive.

After five races, he had two 14th finishes, a retirement and two sixth-place finishes. It wasn’t a true reflection of his pace.

Bezzecchi confirmed where Aprilia have the ‘best bike’, after showing rapid pace in high-speed corners at some circuits. It’s part of the reason why he was so quick at Silverstone.

Speaking to Mowmag at the Dutch Grand Prix, he revealed his stance on all the noise surrounding his teammate currently.

“I really don’t care about these things,” he said. “I look at my own and I can only say that I feel great in Aprilia.

“They treat me very well and work very well. I just want to try to repay them for everything every time I get on the bike.”

How long is Marco Bezzecchi under contract with Aprilia for?

Bezzecchi spent his first three seasons in MotoGP with VR46 on a Ducati satellite bike before deciding that a change was necessary.

He found a factory outfit and has been able to sustain a strong level of performance since. He will still be hoping that there’s more to come.

He finished third in 2023 after taking three victories. Aprilia should be able to give him a chance to get near that level of success again in the future.

Last June, he signed a ‘multi-year’ deal which will see him remain with the team at least until the end of 2026.

It seems inevitable that they will continue together into the new regulations in 2027, as long as he continues to deliver for them.
