Ducati remain unstoppable in MotoGP after locking out the podium in every race so far in 2025.
The factory Ducati team have won every race thus far, with Marc Marquez winning the first five on the spin. The six-time MotoGP champion crashed out of the lead in the Grand Prix of the Americas, handing the win to teammate Francesco Bagnaia.
Bagnaia suspected Marquez would crash in Austin after having a premonition about the Spaniard’s accident in 2024. Despite the team’s dominance, neither Ducati rider leads the championship.

Gresini’s Alex Marquez has displayed incredible consistency in 2025 by finishing second in all six races. The 28-year-old leads brother Marc by one point, with Bagnaia back in the picture after his win at COTA, 12 points behind.
VR46’s Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Di Giannantonio complete the top five, with the Ducati riders holding those positions by some margin. KTM are the only manufacturer that does not have a rider in the top 10 after three races.
It has been a frustrating start to the season for the Austrian outfit in the wake of their desperate financial situation. One rider in particular seems to not care about how his season has gone so far.

Pedro Acosta is ‘so frustrated’ at KTM he does not seem to care if he crashes
Pedro Acosta crashed more than any other rider in 2024, despite achieving five podiums in a mega rookie season. Unfortunately, that trait has continued in 2025.
The Spaniard has crashed out in two of the opening three races so far – the season opener in Thailand and last time out in Austin. Acosta has just 16 points in 2025 – he had already been on the podium twice this time last season.
Amid KTM’s desperate financial problems, there are fears that Acosta is ‘less determined’ as his machine is clearly not competitive enough to battle the frontrunners. The 20-year-old seems to have made that abundantly clear while speaking to the media in Austin.
Journalist Simon Patterson noted that Acosta looks ‘so frustrated’ every time the media speaks to him. He said via The Race MotoGP podcast that the KTM rider does not seem to care that he keeps crashing.
“There is an element of ‘who really cares?’ There’s visible frustration from Acosta every time we speak to him about the KTM situation.
“And you just kind of get the impression that the whole thing is just like ‘who cares?’ I mean, his approach to it is: ‘If I’m not going to win a race then who cares where I finish?’
“And the KTM approach is like, I don’t know, whatever they’re thinking at the minute. ‘Who cares if we finish the race or not, as long as we’ve got the budget to turn up to the next one.’
“Acosta is so frustrated with the situation at the minute that I don’t think it matters to him that he’s crashing. I think that he still remains so valuable to KTM and their longer term plans that they can’t care if he’s crashing or not at the minute.”

Pedro Acosta needs to tidy up his act if he wants to improve his KTM machine
Acosta’s attitude is a huge concern. The Spanaird is blatantly unhappy with the situation KTM finds itself in with the RC16.
Acosta’s 2025 machine has suffered numerous issues this season, with chattering still proving a major problem. KTM had a ‘horrific’ rear tyre issue in Buriram and the vibrations are not helping the situation.
Thus far, Acosta has been outperformed by teammate Brad Binder in 2025. In fact, after Austin, he is now behind Tech3 rider Enea Bastianini, who is desperately struggling to adapt to the RC16 after his move from Ducati.
KTM will hand out upgrades to the best-performing riders this season, with Maverick Vinales completing a rock-solid rider line-up. While Acosta is struggling to handle the machine, he has to keep himself on the track if he wants to see improvements.
