Marc Marquez continued to be an unstoppable force in MotoGP as he took victory in the Sprint race at the Argentina Grand Prix.
The six-time MotoGP champion came into the weekend off the back of a dominant display at the Thailand Grand Prix. Marquez claimed pole position, the Sprint win and the main race win on his Ducati debut.
Minus a tyre pressure during the Grand Prix which saw him temporarily lose the lead to brother Alex Marquez, the Spaniard was untouchable in Buriram. But Marquez’s entourage said he was ‘forced’ to dominate the race due to the issue.
Marquez even admitted he felt slow on his GP25 during the Sprint race to his team. It did not seem as though the Ducati rider was facing a problem as he commanded the race from start to finish.
Ahead of the Argentina Grand Prix, it appears Marquez has made another ‘worrying’ admission about his bike.

Neil Hodgson shares Marc Marquez has been saying around the paddock he is not ‘comfortable’ on his bike around Argentina
The 32-year-old took pole position for the race at the Autodromo Termas de Rio Hondo, breaking the lap record he set in 2014.
In the Sprint, Marquez won the race by just under a second to brother Alex, with teammate Francesco Bagnaia finishing third – a repeat of the result in Buriram.
Despite leading from the off, Neil Hodgson revealed on TNT Sports that the Ducati rider had been saying in the paddock he does not feel ‘comfortable’. It feels like he has to ‘force’ his performance out of the bike.
“Marc weirdly, pole position, won the Sprint race, has been saying around the paddock, I’ve spoke to a few inside people saying he’s not particularly comfortable with this track,” said Hodgson.

“He’s not quite felt ahead of the bike. It’s felt like he’s having to force it a little bit, even if it doesn’t look like it.
“So he will be making some changes and he’ll be trying to win by a bit more of a margin.”
“It’s worrying isn’t it? But we’ve had it before, we’ve talked about it before. Occasionally in the championship you get the best rider on the best bike and that’s sort of what we’re seeing.”

Neil Hodgson warns Marc Marquez of brother Alex after he removed the ‘shadow’ from the Gresini garage
It is strange to hear the 32-year-old say he is not comfortable on the GP25 despite looking dominant in 2025 so far. if he is putting in these performances when he is not fully with the machine, his rivals must be terrified of what could be capable of.
Teammate Bagnaia has offered little challenge to Marquez thus far and he will be desperate to change that. Mick Doohan says Bagnaia ‘has to’ find motivation from the pressure being placed on him to beat the Spaniard.
Interestingly, Marquez’s teammate has not been his biggest threat in 2025. Brother Alex is thriving on the GP24 – which won 16 out of 20 races last year – and as Gresini’s lead rider.
Hodgson says Alex Marquez has removed the ‘shadow’ from his brother since he left Gresini for the factory Ducati outfit. The 28-year-old will be gunning to take the top step after finishing second to Marquez at every race thus far.
