How social media reacted to Marc Marquez’s win

It has been an epic comeback story.  From potentially never being able to ride again to winning his 11th race in a row at Sachsenring Marc Marquez returned to glory against the odds.

So what better tribute to Marquez than to cherry pick some of the fine comments from social media.

So much to unpack here.  Like how was it easy on a Honda?  It’s arguably the worst bike on the grid and the other Honda riders were nowhere.  And why would Rossi, of all riders, be leading the championship on it?

But most importantly – what does OP mean?

Oh he’s back.  And now we’re correctly informed that Yamaha, the bike that’s leading the championship, is trash.

Thankfully we’re still analysing this well-rounded guy’s opinions.  You see readers Marquez has an overpowered bike and that’s the only way he can win.  That said we’ll overlook any questions of why he always wins on the track that’s least power dependent.  Let’s not worry about that.  Let’s instead salute his mother who would surely have won ten world championships by now had she actually ever sat on a motorcycle.

Okay last one from this guy.  As far as I can make out all the Honda riders are terrible but they have easily the best bike.  What a paradox.

An elegant reply that doesn’t even nearly encroach on Twitter’s upper character limit.

Struggling to somewhat understand if this poster is claiming that Marc invented the electronic rider aids and/or making adjustments in the pits.  Maybe they should use horses instead?

Seems like Marc’s to blame for poor Sai Yan’s timeline sponsored-content algorithm.   Typical of a cheater.

Kelly’s on the ‘special’ tyre soapbox.  And why not?  It’s clear that ‘Slime’ Marc has always had preferential treatment.
And come on DORNA.  Don’t you guys do any market research?  Surely if you did you’d learn we all hate him – especially all those fans with ’93’ flags.

Marc’s main problem is that nobody loves him.  Poor guy.

Agreed.  He’s not our winner either James – despite what the results say.  For us he’s an even bigger loser than someone who spells ‘losers’ incorrectly.

Read this a few times now and we’re getting the impression Matthew’s not a fan.

Oh crap who invited Kelly back?  Mixing it though this time by associated him with being a fraud like Trump.  Nice work.  Two peas in the pod we say.

A poor performance by Marc.  He was expected to win here so should have won by more.  Just lucky I guess
